Senator Ted Cruz has introduced a bill to use the forfeited fund of drug lords like El Chapo to pay for the building the Wall.
One of the biggest arguments of the left against Donald Trump’s proposal to build the wall is that he has so far been unable to persuade Mexico to pay for it.
Of course the truth is that anything the left can do to obstruct President Donald Trump they want to do, especially in blocking his increasingly successful efforts to slow down the massive influx of illegals coming over the American border from Mexico.
The bill introduced by Senator Cruz in support of President Trump’s efforts to build the wall, is called “Ensuring Lawful Collection of Hidden Assets to Provide Order” (EL CHAPO) Act.
“El Chapo” is of course, the big drug Lord who has been arrested and imprisoned and whose assets from his illicit drug dealing, make him the richest drug lord ever arrested.
Senator Cruz, the former opponent to President Trump during the GOP primaries last year, has emerged as one of his strongest supporters in the United States Senate.
According to Breitbart News, Ted Cruz said, “The U.S. Government is currently seeking the criminal forfeiture of more than $14 billion in drug proceeds and illicit profits from El Chapo, the former leader of the Sinaloa drug cartel who was recently extradited to the U.S. to face criminal prosecution for numerous alleged drug-related crimes, including conspiracy to commit murder and money laundering.”
